Milk Paint 101 Workshop Recap July 25, 2017 18:57
Hello Branch Tribe!
We thought we'd do a little recap of our last Milk Paint 101 Workshop. We were honoured and excited to collaborate with the amazing peeps from Needle & Pine for this workshop ... they supplied us with the sweetest mini mountain shelves to paint!
Each person got to pick 2 colours of Miss Mustard Seed Milk Paint to test out. We went through the 4 essential milk paint techniques on wooden practice blocks creating depth and texture by layering and distressing using hemp oil and wax. (And yes, you can take your blocks home with you if you fall in love with them!) Then it was time to paint the mountain shelves in there fave one. Eeeek, so exciting!
This workshop was so much fun and everyone loved how their project turned out. Keep posted for our next workshop date!
Here's some pics of the night ...
Thanks for having a peek at our pics!
Do you have some projects outside that you'd love to freshen up or change the colour of? We sure do ... we'll be giving our railing out front a fresh coat of milk paint this summer.
We love using Miss Mustard Seed's Milk Paint for exterior projects! The metal trough out front our store was painted in Shutter Grey milk paint almost 2 years ago. It gets full sun all day and it's started to crackle and show the colour underneath. We love that milk paint adds such pretty character to pieces. Ae sure to add the bonding agent and milk paint will stick to glass and metal surfaces.
